Chris Stapleton Packs John Paul Jones Arena in Charlottesville

Charlottesville, Va. – Chris Stapleton, one of country music’s most acclaimed artists, performed at the University of Virginia‘s John Paul Jones Arena during the weekend, marking the first of two shows in the city.
Stapleton kicked off both performances with his latest track, “Bad As I Used To Be,” which is tied to the upcoming film “F1.” The concert on Friday featured a variety of songs from his solo career, which began in 2015, and included classic hits and covers from his first band, The SteelDrivers.
The audience was nearly at full capacity, as fans filled the arena to hear Stapleton deliver favorites like “Nobody to Blame” and the soulful “Tennessee Whiskey.” His achievements include being named the Country Music Association‘s Male Vocalist of the Year a record eight times, showcasing his significant impact on the genre.
This leg of the “All-American Road Show Tour” has been ongoing since 2017, and Stapleton last entertained audiences at JPJ in October 2023. The energy in the arena was palpable as the crowd celebrated his music, creating a memorable night for all in attendance.
