Instacart Unveils New Delivery Options for Major Grocery Chains

San Francisco, CA — Instacart announced new delivery options for major retailers, aimed at improving service speed and availability for customers. The delivery service unveiled these offerings on June 18, enhancing convenience for chains like Costco and Kroger.
“We’re focused on helping retailers increase availability and speed, while giving customers more same-day options no matter how they choose to shop,” said Sarah Hamburger, vice president of retail partnerships at Instacart. She emphasized the importance of helping retailers adapt to modern shopping demands.
One of the standout features is Priority Delivery through Costco’s platform, sameday.costco.com. This service enables customers to receive items in as fast as 30 minutes. Another option, No-Rush Delivery, allows Costco members to schedule orders hours or days ahead for additional savings.
Kroger is also joining the initiative with its Express Delivery, ensuring grocery delivery in as quickly as 30 minutes from its app and website. These services are part of Instacart’s broader strategy to provide flexible fulfillment options that meet consumer needs.
Instacart also introduced Storefront Pro technology, which integrates its fulfillment capabilities with retailers’ online platforms. This allows customers to shop directly on retailers’ sites while Instacart handles logistics from picking to delivery. Retailers like Harmons and Woodman’s are already using this technology.
The upgrades come shortly after Instacart launched Will Call Delivery, aimed at helping distributors manage urgent supply needs with same-day options. Instacart stated it has built its reputation on delivering groceries quickly, emphasizing its commitment to efficiency in the grocery delivery sector.
