Yankees Vs Reds June 25 2025

CINCINNATI, Ohio – The New York Yankees aim to avoid a second consecutive series sweep when they face the Cincinnati Reds on Wednesday, June 25. The game, set for 7:10 p.m. ET at Great American Ball Park, comes after the Yankees lost in extra innings on Tuesday. The Yankees have struggled recently, winning only three of their last 12 games.

The showdown marks the third and final game of the series between the two teams. In the previous matchup, the Reds secured a dramatic walkoff single for a 4-3 victory. New York’s Max Fried (9-2, 2.05 ERA) will pitch against Cincinnati‘s Brady Singer (7-5, 4.13 ERA). Fried, a Cy Young candidate, has been a key player for the Yankees this season following Gerrit Cole‘s Tommy John surgery.

“Fried has been excellent for us,” said Yankees manager Aaron Boone. “We depend on him to step up in crucial games like this.” The SportsLine Projection Model forecasts Fried will achieve more than 5.5 strikeouts, with a strong probability of exceeding that mark given his average of 6.9 strikeouts in his last eight games against winning teams.

On the other side, Singer’s reliability has shone through with a streak of pitching at least five innings in his last seven starts. Although not noted for high strikeout numbers, the model rates the Over on Singer’s prop at 4.5 strikeouts, projecting him to reach around 5.1.

In terms of home run prospects, Yankees slugger Aaron Judge is favored at +150 to hit a home run during the game, while Reds’ hitters have competitive odds as well.

As for the betting odds, the Yankees sit at -213 as money-line favorites. The Reds are listed as +176 underdogs. A total of nine runs is expected for the game, with odds of -117 for the Over and -103 for the Under.

This matchup is crucial as both teams look to strengthen their playoff positions as they head into the latter part of the season.
