Logan Webb Fantasy Football Leagues

San Francisco, CA – Giants pitcher Logan Webb surprised fans and teammates alike by revealing he is participating in eight fantasy football leagues. This confession came during a recent podcast appearance with Los Angeles Dodgers shortstop Mookie Betts, who was taken aback by the number.

“Eight?” Betts asked in disbelief. Webb, a devoted Las Vegas Raiders fan, explained that he has managed to succeed across these multiple leagues, aiming particularly for victory in the Giants’ league.

“I’ve won a couple of leagues. The Giants one is the one I want to win the most. I’ve come in second twice, I believe,” Webb said, emphasizing his competitiveness.

While the thrill of fantasy football adds enjoyment, it poses risks for players like Webb, who are in pivotal moments of the MLB season. The Giants are currently in a tight race for a postseason spot, holding a record of 75-75 as they gear up for a crucial series against the Arizona Diamondbacks.

Fantasy leagues often impose penalties for the last-place finisher, and the Giants have a unique system in place. “We’ve usually done the bat boy in spring training,” Webb noted. He mentioned that last year’s loser, Curt Casali, has yet to serve his punishment.

While Webb’s focus on fantasy sports lightheartedly entertains fans, it has raised eyebrows in the clubhouse. As one of the team’s primary leaders, some critics question the wisdom behind balancing such a commitment during a critical playoff chase. Nevertheless, Webb has been a reliable performer, logging over 193 innings this season with a 14-10 record and a 3.34 ERA.

As the Giants prepare for a crucial four-game series against the Dodgers, all eyes will be on Webb’s performance. If San Francisco hopes to remain in postseason contention, they will need their ace focused and performing at his best, both on the field and away from his fantasy football lineups.
