Silent Hill f Set to Launch with New Features and High Hopes

Tokyo, Japan – Konami’s upcoming horror game, Silent Hill f, is generating excitement as it approaches its launch on September 22, 2025. The game takes players to the fictional Japanese town of Ebisugaoka during the 1960s, where they will navigate a fog-filled landscape filled with grotesque monsters.
Recent reports indicate that Silent Hill f will feature a reversible cover with two distinct artworks. One cover shows the protagonist, Hinako Shimizu, wielding a pipe, while the alternate art focuses on a haunting demon from the game. It remains unclear if this reversible cover will be available to all players or limited to pre-orders and day-one buyers.
Adding to the buzz, the Japanese gaming magazine Famitsu has reviewed the game, awarding it a strong score of 36 out of 40. Each of the four reviewers rated it 9 out of 10, making it the highest-rated title in the Silent Hill series. Previous entries, including the original Silent Hill and Silent Hill 2, scored 34/40 and 35/40 respectively.
According to Famitsu, players can expect a playtime of about 12 to 13 hours for a single run, with many likely to replay due to its gripping narrative. The review highlights the game’s tragic and chilling story, complemented by Akira Yamaoka’s atmospheric soundtrack.
Technical details also emerged ahead of the release. The PlayStation 5 version will have a file size of approximately 36.637 GB and will require update version 01.001.000. Pre-loads begin on September 21, 2025, for the Deluxe Edition, with the Standard Edition following on September 23, 2025.
Developed by NeoBards Entertainment and published by Konami Digital Entertainment, Silent Hill f aims to blend puzzle-solving and survival mechanics with psychological horror, appealing to both longtime fans and newcomers of the franchise.
