Aaron Sorkin’s ‘The Social Reckoning’ Set for October 2026 Release

LOS ANGELES, CA — Sony Pictures has officially announced the release date and title for Aaron Sorkin’s follow-up to the acclaimed 2010 film ‘The Social Network.’ The new film, titled ‘The Social Reckoning,’ is set to hit theaters on October 9, 2026.

The cast emerged over the summer, featuring strong talents including Oscar nominee Jeremy Strong as Mark Zuckerberg, Oscar winner Mikey Madison as whistleblower Frances Haugen, and two-time Emmy winner Jeremy Allen White as Wall Street Journal reporter Jeff Horwitz. Bill Burr, known for his roles in ‘Old Dads’ and ‘The King of Staten Island,’ is also part of the cast.

Sorkin, who won an Academy Award for Best Adapted Screenplay for the original film, will write and direct this new project. He produces alongside Todd Black, Peter Rice, and Stuart Besser.
