Metaplanet has become a major player in the Bitcoin market by acquiring 5,288 Bitcoins for $615.67 million at an average price of $116,870 per Bitcoin. This purchase increases Metaplanet’s Bitcoin yield for 2025 to an impressive 497.1%.

The company now holds a total of 30,823 Bitcoins, which it has accumulated at a cost of $3.33 billion, averaging $107,912 per Bitcoin. This strategic acquisition highlights Metaplanet’s commitment to expanding its cryptocurrency holdings.

According to CEO Gerovich, the company’s Bitcoin Income Generation segment reported quarterly revenue of $16.16 million (¥2.438 billion), marking a 115.7% growth compared to Q2 2025. Gerovich noted, ‘Q3 results demonstrate operational scalability and strengthen the financial foundation for our planned Metaplanet preferred share issuance, which supports our broader Bitcoin Treasury strategy.’

Following this announcement, Metaplanet shares experienced a drop of 10%, closing at 516 yen during Wednesday’s trading session. Investors are now watching closely as the company revises its fiscal year 2025 consolidated guidance, reporting a projected 100% increase in revenue and an 88% rise in operating profit from previous forecasts.
