Moira Hogan Steps Down as EVP of BritBox International

SYDNEY, Australia — Moira Hogan, the Executive Vice President of BritBox International and General Manager for Australia, is set to leave her position after a successful five-year tenure. Hogan played a critical role in the 2020 launch of BritBox in Australia, helping establish the streaming platform as a strong competitor in the market.
Under her leadership, BritBox secured crucial distribution deals with major companies such as Amazon, Apple, and Foxtel. Hogan managed the company’s financial performance (P&L) and growth strategy, overseeing a significant increase in subscribers and revenue. Earlier this year, she also guided a major relaunch of the service in Australia.
Following the formation of BritBox International, Hogan’s responsibilities expanded to include management in the Nordics and South Africa. Reflecting on her time at BritBox, she expressed immense pride in the accomplishments of her team. “I’m immensely proud of everything we’ve built together,” she stated. “With the recent shift within studios to a more domestic focus, I’ve decided this is the right time to seek a new challenge that aligns with my experience in international business leadership.”
Despite the decision to leave being a difficult one, Hogan described her departure as a natural progression. “I’m leaving behind a strong, resilient team that will continue to thrive and grow,” she added. Robert Schildhouse, President of BritBox North America and International GM, praised Hogan’s exceptional results and collaborative spirit. “Moira has taken bold risks that drove revenue growth and shown commitment to building a culture where everyone can do their best work,” he remarked.
Robi Stanton, BBC Studios‘ EVP & General Manager for Global Media & Streaming in Australia and New Zealand, acknowledged Hogan’s vital contributions to BritBox’s success in the region. “Her strategic vision and deep understanding of the market were instrumental in building a thriving business,” Stanton said. The search for Hogan’s successor has not yet begun as the company undergoes restructuring.
