Thomas Frank Praises Tottenham’s Medical Team for Player Recovery

London, England — Thomas Frank, the head coach of Tottenham Hotspur, has commended the club’s medical department for their exceptional work in rehabilitating injured players. His remarks come as the forward has successfully participated in all six of the team’s opening Premier League matches this season, following a significant recovery from injury.
The player faced a challenging hamstring injury that sidelined him for an extensive 74 days. Frank highlighted the professionalism of the medical staff in ensuring the player returned to the pitch in good form. “I would say I think the medical department has done a top job in terms of building him,” Frank stated. “I think it’s quite remarkable that he’s fit, in company with his history.”
Frank also discussed the careful decisions made regarding the player’s return to action. He mentioned an instance during a friendly match when the player wasn’t fit enough to play a full 45 minutes. “There’s been times such as when he came back from the last international break, where we didn’t start him,” he explained. “We haven’t been forced into games where we had to play him, so I think he’s building an extra layer which is good.”
Additionally, Frank spoke about new signing Xavi Simons, who joined from RB Leipzig towards the end of the summer transfer window. While Simons has yet to make a significant impact, Frank remains optimistic about his future contributions. “We are still working out where he fits exactly in this team and getting those right rhythms and combinations for him,” Frank noted.
He added, “There are very few players I’ve seen that just hit the ground running, but I need to see promising signs. I need to see glimpses. I need to see three or four good actions each game: a touch, a turn, a pass, or a top action where there’s something to build on, which I think I’ve seen so far.”
