Broncos Chiefs Raiders Nfl Week 4 Highlights

DENVER, Colorado — In a challenging Week 4 for the Denver Broncos, head coach Sean Payton defended center Luke Wattenberg after his five penalties during the game. Payton noted, “I’m going to come to his defense because there were a handful… If you guys watched the tape, he’s been playing well.” Wattenberg’s penalties drew scrutiny, but Payton remains optimistic about his performance.

Meanwhile, the Kansas City Chiefs, who began the season with two losses, have since rallied for two consecutive wins against the New York Giants and the Baltimore Ravens. Linebacker Drue Tranquill emphasized a need for better energy during games. “I feel like when our energy is good… we click. There were a few times last year where we started slow in the first half,” he said.

Tranquill also praised their defensive performance, particularly their pass rush, which has led to three interceptions in the past two games. He highlighted, “That energy and relentless play from the rush results in turnovers. We have to keep the energy up.” Tranquill believes there’s still ample room for growth as the season progresses.

On a different note, Raiders running back Ashton Jeanty showcased his unique upright stance, leading to a season-high 138 yards and a touchdown against the Giants. “Sometimes, you’ve just got to prove that something can work,” Jeanty said, referring to his unconventional posture. He claims it keeps him more relaxed and attentive to defenses.

Jeanty acknowledged his stance differs from traditional running back techniques, but he sees no reason to change it. “It works, so no need to change it,” he stated. This approach may provide the Raiders with a distinct advantage moving forward.

As the teams prepare for their next matchups, the Broncos must focus on reducing penalties, the Chiefs aim to improve their offensive starts, and the Raiders seek to leverage Jeanty’s recent success as they pursue a path to victory.
