Skate Story Ps5 Game Preview

NEW YORK, NY — Sam Eng, the sole developer of the upcoming game Skate Story, announced that the game will be released for PlayStation 5 on December 8, 2025. Players will take on the role of a glass-bodied demon navigating through the Underworld to fulfill a devil’s contract.

Eng shared updates about the game during a recent presentation, highlighting new gameplay features and an original soundtrack created by the New York City band Blood Cultures. The game’s plot centers around a demon skater who must skate to the Moon and devour it to gain freedom.

“Skate Story is based on a true story, though I’ve altered names and places for privacy,” Eng said, adding that the game’s premise retains dramatic elements to enhance the experience.

Blood Cultures expressed enthusiasm about crafting the soundtrack. “I walked around New York City with recording devices to capture its essence,” they said. “Sampling the sounds of the city really helped bring the game to life.”

In the game, players will wear out their skateboard decks while performing tricks and grinding through harsh terrains. As they progress, players can swap portions of their leased soul for new gear, customizable stickers, and other enhancements.

The gameplay features a robust combo system. As players chain together tricks and skate quickly, their combos grow, culminating in an explosive finale that deals damage to celestial enemies threatening the Underworld.

Eng concluded, “I hope everyone enjoys this journey through Skate Story starting this December. It’s been an amazing road to bring it all together.”
