LOS ANGELES, California – Tim Robinson stars in HBO‘s new series, “The Chair Company,” which premieres on Sunday, October 12. This dark comedy explores the life of William Ronald “Ron” Trosper, whose mundane job spirals into chaos after an embarrassing incident involving a collapsing chair.

In the show, Ron, tasked with leading a shopping mall project in Canton, Ohio, experiences a moment that flips his life upside down. Following the incident, he becomes obsessed with uncovering a conspiracy behind the chair’s failure, leading to a series of wild misadventures and startling confrontations.

Co-created with Zach Kanin, Robinson brings his signature brand of humor to the series, blending absurdity with emotionally charged moments. Ron’s character balances on the edge of sanity as he delves deeper into the mystery, pulling him away from his supportive wife Barb, played by Lake Bell, and their two children, Natalie and Seth.

As the plot unfolds, Ron’s investigation introduces him to a strange array of characters, including Mike Santini, portrayed by Joseph Tudisco. Their dynamic adds a layer of unpredictability, as Ron’s mental state deteriorates while trying to piece together the conspiracy.

Critics note that the show cleverly combines humor with elements of horror, showcasing Robinson’s unique comedic style that keeps audiences on the edge of their seats. With everything from reckless behavior to humorous family interactions, the series promises a mix of laugh-out-loud moments and unexpected twists.

Robinson’s performance and the series’ innovative storytelling make “The Chair Company” a noteworthy addition to HBO’s lineup, appealing to fans of both comedy and suspense. As Ron grapples with his inner turmoil and the absurdities of modern life, viewers can expect an exciting blend of humor and tension that only Robinson can deliver.

“The Chair Company” will air on HBO and stream on HBO Max, with new episodes released weekly.
