Djokovic to Miss Paris Masters Again, Eyes Future Events
PARIS, France — Novak Djokovic, the seven-time champion, will miss the Paris Masters for the second consecutive year. The 38-year-old announced he is taking a break following his participation in the Shanghai Masters and Six Kings Slam.
Djokovic has struggled with various physical issues, making his absence from the final Masters 1000 event of the year anticipated. He is, however, scheduled to compete in the Hellenic Championship (ATP 250 in Athens) from November 2 to 8.
His participation in the ATP Finals in Turin remains uncertain. This year marks the 18th edition of the tournament, set to take place from November 9 to 16. The Serbian aims to capture his 41st Masters 1000 title, which he last won at the Paris Masters two years ago.
Recently, Djokovic reached the semifinals in Shanghai, becoming the oldest semifinalist in the series. He endured an exhausting campaign, defeating four opponents before losing to Valentin Vacherot in straight sets.
Two years ago, Djokovic secured his seventh Paris trophy, triumphing over Grigor Dimitrov in straight sets. He spent nearly nine hours on the court leading up to that final but delivered his best performance when it mattered most.
The Paris Masters 1000 tournament is set to take place from October 27 to November 2, 2025, and will be held at the newly relocated Paris La Défense Arena.
