Jason Day Avoda Irons Golf

SALT LAKE CITY, UtahJason Day was spotted using Avoda Golf irons during practice for the Bank of Utah Championship on October 20, 2025. The Major winner’s decision to test these new clubs has generated excitement, particularly since the technology is relatively new to the professional golf scene.

The Australian champion, 37, has been experimenting with Avoda’s unique designs, which feature distinct soles and head shapes, tailored to fit his preferences. Notably, Day’s coach was the one who initiated contact with Avoda, intrigued by their innovative curved-face technology.

Day’s version of the irons differs from typical retail versions, shaped by his feedback during a testing period. Unlike fellow golfer Bryson DeChambeau, who uses a full set of one-length irons, Day opted for traditional variable-length irons. Photographs show that he has eight clubs in his bag, suggesting the potential inclusion of a 3-iron or gap wedge.

The longer irons exhibit a cavity-back design, while the shorter clubs resemble muscleback types, common in hybrid sets. This versatility aligns with Day’s evolving golf style.

Throughout his career, Day has primarily endorsed TaylorMade clubs, a partnership yielding significant success, including a Major victory and 12 PGA Tour wins. Since parting ways with TaylorMade in 2021, he’s been testing various brands, including Ping and Titleist, showcasing his willingness to adapt.

At this year’s BMW Championship, he used TaylorMade irons, demonstrating his ongoing quest to optimize performance. Day recently expressed his excitement about trying new equipment, emphasizing how brands outside the mainstream can sometimes enhance performance.

As he prepares to make his first PGA Tour appearance since mid-August, Day is among the favorites to perform well at the championship. He sits 41st in the FedEx Cup Standings, ensuring his position in the PGA Tour’s Signature Events for 2026. “I’m looking forward to getting back out there and seeing how these new clubs perform,” Day said.
