Emirates NBA Cup 2025 Begins October 31 With Unique Court Designs
NEW YORK, NY — The Emirates NBA Cup 2025 is set to begin on October 31, featuring all 30 teams with distinctive custom-designed courts. The captivating tournament will air on Prime Video and NBA League Pass.
Artist Victor Solomon, who designed the courts for last year’s tournament, has introduced vibrant and fully-painted gradients along with personalized overlays for each team. The designs also include subtle references for previous tournament champions.
Group Play is scheduled to run from October 31 to November 28, with each team playing in four games. The top eight teams will then advance to the Knockout Rounds, culminating in the Semifinals and Finals in Las Vegas on December 13 and 16.
All courts are uniquely designed while incorporating each team’s primary colors along with their logo. Emphasizing team identity, some courts feature slogans such as the Detroit Pistons‘ “In It For My City” or tributes like the Boston Celtics‘ number six honoring Bill Russell.
The Emirates NBA Cup has become a notable highlight in the NBA season, allowing teams to compete amid the regular season while maintaining a separate competitive atmosphere. This year’s edition continues to build on the initiative that started in the previous seasons.
Last year’s champions, the Milwaukee Bucks, and the inaugural winners, the Los Angeles Lakers, will again represent the prestige associated with the tournament. As the games begin, anticipation is high for the unique matchups and atmosphere the specially-designed courts will create.
This season will include a playful twist for fans, showcasing each team’s style while keeping team spirit alive through their courts’ vibrant designs. The inaugural matches on Halloween will feature the Boston Celtics playing against the Philadelphia 76ers and the Los Angeles Lakers facing the Memphis Grizzlies.
