Cam Skattebo Giants Injury

East Rutherford, New Jersey — Giants running back Cam Skattebo suffered a serious injury during today’s game against the Eagles. The injury occurred in the second quarter as Skattebo attempted to catch a pass that was thrown by quarterback Jaxson Dart.

With 8:00 remaining in the half, Skattebo was tackled by linebacker Zack Baun, causing his right ankle to bend awkwardly. The disturbing sight prompted immediate medical attention, and Skattebo was carted off the field with an air cast on his leg.

Teammates gathered around, visibly shaken by the incident, as they realized the injury could end Skattebo’s promising rookie season. Before leaving the field, Skattebo managed three carries for 12 yards and one notable touchdown, an 18-yard reception.

Skattebo, a fourth-round draft pick from Arizona State University, has surprised many during his debut season, accumulating 398 rushing yards and five touchdowns in just seven games. His playmaking ability has made him a key player for the Giants, especially following a three-touchdown performance against the Eagles earlier this month.

This injury highlights a difficult moment for the Giants, who now must regroup as they continue their season. Given the extent of the injury, Skattebo is expected to face a lengthy rehabilitation process, leaving both him and the team hope for a return next season.
