Disney Twisted-Wonderland Anime Debuts with Villainous Charm

LOS ANGELES, CA — Disney’s popular mobile game, Twisted-Wonderland, is now an animated series premiering on October 29, 2025. The show, titled Disney Twisted-Wonderland: The Animation, features a new story set in a magical school inspired by Disney villains. The series is streaming on Disney+ and Hulu.

In season one, viewers follow high school student Yuken (Yu), who is mysteriously transported to Night Raven College, a prestigious academy featuring seven distinct dorms based on various Disney characters. With limited magical abilities, Yu embarks on an adventure filled with strange encounters and rule-bound dorm leaders.

The show centers around the Heartslabyul dorm, which draws inspiration from Disney’s “Alice in Wonderland.” It explores the complex dynamics among students, establishing a unique blend of fantasy and character development.

Riddle Rosehearts, the feared leader of Heartslabyul, strictly enforces rules inspired by the Queen of Hearts. “I’m so excited that we’re getting a Twisted-Wonderland animation,” said Riddle’s voice actor. “It’s fascinating to see how these characters are realized in anime form.”

Voice actor Ace Trappola added, “This story already had me totally enthralled as a game, so I’m really happy to enjoy it as an anime now.” Deuce Spade, another student, noted the effort put into bringing the characters to life through animation.

The anime adaptation features the original cast from the game, along with composer Takumi Ozawa, who returns for the score. The ending theme, “Obedience,” performed by the Heartslabyul students, has already garnered attention.

Alongside Yuken, the series will introduce pivotal characters like Grim, a monster aspiring to be a great mage. “I’m really emotional about this animation,” said Grim’s voice actor. “We’re giving our all to make sure it’s fantastic.”

Disney Twisted-Wonderland: The Animation aims to captivate both fans of the game and newcomers. The first eight episodes of Season 1 will be released weekly, starting on October 29. Future seasons are already confirmed, sparking excitement among viewers.
