Ben Shelton Tennis Atp Finals

TURIN, Italy – Ben Shelton, ranked No. 6 by the ATP, is set to make his debut at the Nitto ATP Finals, which runs from Nov. 9 to Nov. 16. The tournament brings together the top eight male tennis players from around the world to compete for the year-end title.

The Nitto ATP Finals features a round-robin format, with players divided into two groups. Each participant plays three matches within their group, and the best performers will advance to the knockout semi-finals. The winner of the tournament will receive 1,500 ranking points, significantly boosting their season total.

Shelton is placed in the Bjorn Borg Group alongside top-ranked Jannik Sinner, No. 3 Alexander Zverev, and No. 9 Lorenzo Musetti. He faces a tough challenge, bringing a career record of just 2-14 against his group opponents. His only victories came against Musetti at the 2025 Australian Open and Sinner at the ATP Masters 1000 Shanghai in 2023.

His first match in Turin is against Zverev, scheduled for Sunday, Nov. 9, at 3:30 p.m. EST (8:30 p.m. GMT). Zverev has won all four of their previous encounters this year, making this match key for Shelton’s pursuit of his first win against the German.

“I’m close,” said Shelton, who aims to close out his breakout season on a high note. He qualified for the Finals after a quarterfinal showing at the Rolex Paris Masters, solidifying his place among the elite players.

Shelton’s 2025 season includes a major title at the ATP Masters 1000 in Toronto and a semifinal appearance at the Australian Open. After dealing with a shoulder injury that hindered his performance post-U.S. Open, he hopes to regain his form in Turin.
