LOS ANGELES, CA — AdHoc Studio launched the final two episodes of its choose-your-own-adventure video game “Dispatch” on November 12, 2025. The superhero workplace comedy has captivated over 1 million players since its initial release.

In this game, players control Robert Robertson, a dispatch operator who once aspired to be a hero. Now, he must navigate both emergencies and office politics, all while coordinating a team of unconventional heroes. Aaron Paul voices the character and claims the experience was challenging due to the multiple storylines available.

“With him in particular — not giving too much away — the dynamics with a lot of the characters are drastically different because of the gamers’ decisions,” Paul said in a recent interview. He expressed that he finds the narrative possibilities intriguing, noting that he doesn’t have a favorite outcome for Robert’s story.

AdHoc Studio co-founder Pierre Shorette indicated that the strong fan reception might lead to a Season 2. During a podcast appearance, he admitted the unexpected success has made the idea of continuing the series a strong possibility. “That was a question mark three weeks ago. Now, we’re going to have to at least think about Season 2,” he said.

The game’s first season has garnered positive reviews, with players praising its unique storytelling and engaging gameplay that mixes heroics with mundane office tasks. The success has further energized the development team, who see incredible potential for expanding the game’s universe.

“We’re not reinventing the wheel, just tapping into something we’ve all been missing,” Shorette said, highlighting the need for compelling narrative-driven games in the current market.
