Texans Vs Bills Thursday Night Football

HOUSTON, Texas — The Houston Texans are leading the Buffalo Bills 20-16 at halftime of their Thursday Night Football matchup. The first half delivered excitement with 24 combined points in the final four minutes.

The Bills opened the scoring early with a 45-yard touchdown run by James Cook, who surpassed 1,000 rushing yards for the season. However, Matt Prater missed the extra point, leaving Buffalo with a 6-0 lead.

Houston responded with a field goal from Ka'imi Fairbairn before Davis Mills threw a 2-yard touchdown pass to Christian Kirk, giving the Texans their first lead of the night. A highlight came shortly after when Josh Allen‘s deep pass was intercepted by Calen Bullock, though a block in the back nullified the Texans’ touchdown on the return.

On the following kickoff, Ray Davis made an electrifying 97-yard touchdown run, increasing the Texans’ lead. Mills led another impressive scoring drive, capping it with an 8-yard touchdown pass to Jayden Higgins as time expired in the half.

Josh Allen, known for his Thursday night resilience, entered the game hoping to secure a win in Houston. Despite facing pressure from the Texans’ defense, he continues to show his ability to adapt, although his team ended the half trailing.

The Bills have faced multiple injuries, including to star left tackle Dion Dawkins, who is being evaluated for a concussion. As the second half looms, both teams need to overcome their challenges to secure a win.
