Aamir Khan's Vision Of A New Life In Coonoor: A Glimpse Into The Actor's Personal Journey

Renowned Bollywood actor Aamir Khan, known for his versatile roles and social impact initiatives, recently shared insights into his contemplation of relocating to the serene hills of Coonoor for a fresh start in life. Celebrating his 59th birthday in the company of paparazzi and ex-wife Kiran Rao, Khan reflected on his dream of owning a residence in the picturesque town, away from the hustle and bustle of Mumbai.

In a candid conversation back in 1994 with film journalist Bhawana Somaaya, Aamir Khan mused about the possibility of bidding farewell to the glitzy world of Bollywood and embracing a tranquil existence in Coonoor. Expressing his sentiments, Khan mentioned his desire to spend quality time with family and explore new beginnings in the quaint hill station.

When asked about the impact of such a move on his illustrious career, Aamir Khan emphasized that while career holds significance, life encompasses much more. He envisioned Coonoor as a place where he could delve into personal pursuits and endeavors beyond the realm of acting, fulfilling aspirations long tucked away amidst cinematic commitments.

Delving deeper into his values, Khan highlighted the role of money in his life, acknowledging its importance while emphasizing that it does not govern all decisions. Drawing a clear distinction between wealth and personal fulfillment, the Bollywood icon shared his belief in pursuing activities that align with his passions, even if they may not yield monetary rewards.

Aamir Khan, celebrated for iconic films such as ‘Ghulam‘ and ‘Lagaan’, recently made a cameo appearance in Revathi’s ‘Aranyak’, alongside Kajol. The actor’s upcoming project, ‘Lahore 1947’, in collaboration with veteran actor Sunny Deol and director Rajkumar Santoshi, promises a captivating narrative that ventures beyond conventional storytelling in Indian cinema.
