Abbie Stockard Miss America 2025 Crown Ceremony

Abbie Stockard, a 22-year-old nursing student and cheerleader from Alabama, was crowned Miss America 2025 on Sunday night in Orlando, Florida. Representing her home state, Stockard triumphed over 51 other contestants, including runner-up Annette Addo-Yobo of Texas, in the annual pageant held at the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts.

Stockard, who is also a senior at Auburn University, wowed the judges with her contemporary dance performance to a song by Christian musician Lauren Daigle. She later showcased her eveningwear in a glittering silver and white gown. Her victory marks the fourth time a Miss Alabama has won the national title.

The competition featured a diverse array of talent performances, including slam poetry by Miss Texas, clogging by Miss Oklahoma, and a jazz dance routine by Miss Wisconsin. The event also included a fitness segment, replacing the traditional swimwear competition, and an interview round where contestants addressed topics such as unemployment, immigration, and housing.

Stockard, who has a personal connection to cystic fibrosis through her best friend, used her platform to raise funds for cystic fibrosis research. In her victory speech, she expressed gratitude and disbelief, saying,
