Adam Mondschein Blake Lively Legal Dispute

NEW YORK, NY — Adam Mondschein, known for his role in the film “It Ends With Us,” has come forward to contest allegations made by co-star Blake Lively in her lawsuit against director Justin Baldoni. Mondschein claims that his experience during filming starkly contrasts with Lively’s characterization in her legal complaint.

In an exclusive statement to Page Six, Mondschein, who portrayed Doctor Dunbar, expressed his surprise at Lively’s depiction of their shared scenes. “I’m not going to speculate as to Ms. Lively’s motivations for mentioning me in the complaint,” he said. “Needless to say, my experience working with her is very different than the one she described in her lawsuit.”

Lively’s allegations were outlined in a lawsuit filed in December 2024, in which she described a chaotic filming environment for a particular birth scene. In her claims, she described feeling “disturbed,” particularly regarding the casting of Baldoni’s friend in a critical role and the circumstances surrounding the scene itself. She alleged that it was inappropriate that Baldoni, the director, cast someone so close to him for such an intimate scene.

“Ms. Lively felt that the selection of Mr. Baldoni’s friend for this intimate role, in which the actor’s face and hands were in close proximity to her nearly nude genitalia for a birth scene, was invasive and humiliating,” the lawsuit stated.

However, Mondschein defended his role, asserting that the scene was filmed in a professional manner and that Lively’s costume included a hospital gown and additional garments that addressed her appearance. “Her costume included a full hospital gown, black shorts, and torso-covering prosthetic to make her appear pregnant,” he clarified. He also emphasized, “Ms. Lively never complained or expressed discomfort at any point because nothing unusual or improper occurred. It was entirely professional.”

Adding to the discussion of qualifications, Mondschein took issue with Lively’s insinuations regarding his professional credibility. “Ms. Lively’s insinuations regarding my qualifications are offensive, as my bona fides are easily searchable online,” he stated, asserting that he was indeed a local hire from New York and responsible for his own travel expenses.

A spokesperson for Lively declined to comment on Mondschein’s remarks but redirected attention to her original lawsuit, which outlined concerns regarding the filming process. The actress claimed that the crew failed to maintain necessary protocols typically enforced during such shooting, particularly concerning nudity.

A source close to Lively reiterated her discomfort about the filming process, stating, “Blake was extremely uncomfortable, and understandably so, when she learned the actor who was placing his face between her legs was the boss’s best friend.”

As the legal proceedings continue, Mondschein revealed his willingness to testify on Baldoni’s behalf if called upon. “If I’m called to testify in the case I will answer truthfully,” he concluded.

Currently, Lively’s lawsuit remains intertwined with Baldoni’s counterclaims of defamation and other charges against her. The trial is anticipated to unveil more details surrounding these serious allegations.
