Actor Austin North Arrested for Hospital Incident in Las Vegas
Actor Austin North, known for his role in the hit Netflix series ‘Outer Banks,’ was arrested following an incident at University Medical Center Hospital in Las Vegas.
The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department reported that North, 27, allegedly engaged in violent behavior towards hospital staff, including nurses and a phlebotomist, before being subdued.
In a statement, North expressed deep regret over the events, attributing his actions to a severe panic attack he was experiencing at the time.
The hospital’s Public Relations Director, Scott Kerbs, condemned the violence, emphasizing the commitment to creating a safe environment for healthcare workers and patients.
North now faces three counts of battery on protected persons for the altercation.
Online records indicate that North has been released on bond and is scheduled for a court hearing on March 19.
North shared his struggles with anxiety in a social media post, aiming to raise awareness about mental health challenges and offer support to others facing similar issues.
Despite the incident, North maintains respect for healthcare professionals and is determined to shed light on the debilitating effects of panic attacks.
