Actor Gabriel Olds Arrested On Multiple Sexual Assault Charges

Gabriel Olds, a 52-year-old actor known for his role in ‘The Eyes of Tammy Faye,’ has been arrested in Los Angeles on serious sexual assault charges. The LAPD detained him on Wednesday morning in Brentwood, and he is facing seven felony charges related to sexual misconduct.

Officials from the Los Angeles Police Department reported that they are looking for more potential victims and witnesses. They believe Olds may have been involved in a series of assaults across the city, prompting investigators to reach out to the public for assistance.

The legal troubles for Olds began earlier this year when a 41-year-old woman accused him of rape at her home back in January. Following her report, two more women came forward with similar allegations claiming that their dating experiences with Olds turned violent.

Subsequently, the LA County District Attorney’s office charged Olds with multiple counts, including forcible rape and related offenses. A warrant was issued for his arrest, setting bail at $3.5 million.

This New York native and Yale graduate has had a long career in television, appearing in various series, including ‘Boardwalk Empire‘ and ‘Six Feet Under.’ He has also contributed to theatrical productions and was recently involved in the WGA strike.

According to police, Olds allegedly used his prestigious background and success in the industry to attract women through dating apps. However, his victims described initially feeling safe around him before experiencing sudden violence.

Detective Brent Hopkins shared that there are common themes in the survivors’ stories, highlighting a pattern of charm followed by aggression. As the investigation continues, the LAPD is keen to hear from anyone else who might have been affected.
