Actor Joshua Jackson Creates Rainbow Room for Daughter After Losing Home in Fire

LOS ANGELES, CA — Actor Joshua Jackson shared a heartwarming update with fans on April 8, revealing the new rainbow playroom he created for his daughter, Juno Rose, following the devastating loss of their $2 million home to the Palisades Fire in January.

Jackson, 46, recounted the emotional journey leading to the creation of the playroom in an Instagram post, stating, “For months before the fire, JR was on me to paint a rainbow room. I was working and couldn’t quite figure out where to do it … I didn’t do it. Which I now really regret.” He emphasized his desire to fulfill his daughter’s wishes, noting her requests for a colorful and imaginative space.

After losing the childhood home he had purchased back in 2002 for $865,000, Jackson and Juno moved into a rental property, where they currently reside. He reflected on the significance of the original home, saying, “Sadly, my beautiful home did not survive the fires. But today, I feel incredibly lucky to be surrounded by the people I love.” Jackson expressed gratitude that his family and neighbors escaped the flames unscathed.

In his post, Jackson detailed his daughter’s vision for the playroom, which included a blue sky roof and plenty of pink, adding, “I got you, kiddo…. Because while I can’t give her a new house yet, we can certainly have some rainbows along the way.” He also thanked his landlords for their understanding and willingness to allow him to transform their rental property.

The $2 million property burned down was where Jackson spent much of his early childhood, a place he described as having significant healing properties upon purchasing it. “There was a mural of a dragon on the wall in that room that I couldn’t believe was still there years later,” he recalled. The loss of his home was part of a larger crisis where more than 10,000 structures were destroyed in the area.

In his Instagram update, he acknowledged the outpouring of support he received from fans, stating, “Thank you to everyone who reached out and kept reaching out; it means so much during these times.” This reflective and hopeful message underscores his commitment to creating lasting memories for his daughter amid the difficult circumstances.
