Morris Chestnut Marriage Secrets

NEW YORK, N.Y. — Actor Morris Chestnut recently revealed the keys to his long-lasting marriage during an interview at Culture Con on Saturday, Oct. 4. The 56-year-old star celebrated 30 years of marriage with his wife, Pam Byse, this year.

Chestnut shared insights into their successful relationship, highlighting the importance of respect and mutual growth. “Honestly, I wish I had the secret,” he said, acknowledging their commitment to maintaining respect for one another over the years.

Married in 1995, Chestnut and Byse have navigated their personal growth together. “You would hope as a person and in growth, you’re different in your thirties than you were in your twenties,” he explained. “And we are, and we’ve grown, but we just happen to grow together than grow apart.”

The couple, who are known to be private, have two children: son Grant and daughter Paige. Chestnut emphasized the role of shared interests in their compatibility. “We have mainly respect, and we have a lot of similar interests,” he noted.

Back in February, Chestnut praised Byse’s support, saying, “She holds the house down. She allows me to be able to go out and go to a job, and be able to just focus on the job.” He expressed confidence that while he works, Byse efficiently manages their home.

Byse also spoke about their relationship, stating, “Like he’s very, very supportive. I feel protected by him. I don’t have any stress when he leaves home. It feels really good.”
