Actress Bárbara de Regil Accuses Producer of Past Sexual Harassment

Mexico City, Mexico — Actress Bárbara de Regil revealed a painful episode of sexual harassment she experienced early in her career during the reality show “Secreto de Parejas.” The incident involved producer Memo del Bosque, who allegedly tried to kiss her without consent in his office.
De Regil shared her story during a taping in November 2024, months before Del Bosque passed away from cancer on April 7, 2025. She expressed the profound discomfort she felt, stating, “I felt disgust. If someone did that to me, I would feel outraged. At that moment, I felt disgust and fear,” she said.
After rejecting Del Bosque’s advance, De Regil claimed she lost the opportunity to secure a job she wanted at that time. “I knew that by not following through with the kiss, I wouldn’t get the job,” she added.
In a subsequent interview on the program “De Primera Mano,” De Regil discussed encountering Del Bosque years later at actor Alexis Ayala’s wedding. Although she considered confronting him, she chose not to spoil the celebration for her friend.
She emphasized that her decision to speak out was not meant to harm anyone but was part of her personal healing and empowerment journey. De Regil expressed regret that Del Bosque was unable to hear her statement, noting that he died before the show aired.
“This program was filmed in November, and I didn’t know he would go to heaven. I feel a lot about that because I would have liked him to see that I wasn’t scared and that I spoke out, but that didn’t happen,” she said.
De Regil concluded her comments by reiterating her goal of sharing her experience as an act of courage and reflection, rather than generating harm.
