Actress Lola Glaudini Accuses Johnny Depp Of Misconduct On 'blow' Set

Actress Lola Glaudini has come forward with allegations against her former co-star Johnny Depp during the filming of the 2001 movie ‘Blow’.

Glaudini recounted a specific incident from the set on an episode of the Powerful Truth Angels podcast, where she claimed that Depp berated and mistreated her during a scene. The actress mentioned that director Ted Demme instructed her to laugh during one of Depp’s monologues, and she followed the direction as given.

However, Glaudini detailed that Depp’s reaction post-scene was aggressive and hostile. She described an instance where Depp approached her, reprimanding her with harsh words and accusing her of disrupting his performance on set.

The actress expressed how shocked she was by Depp’s behavior, especially considering it was her first time working with him and her debut on a studio movie. The incident left her feeling humiliated and upset, stemming from the unexpected confrontation from the actor.

Glaudini also claimed that Demme did not intervene or clarify the situation to Depp, leaving her feeling unsupported and vulnerable on set. She highlighted that the experience led to an isolating atmosphere afterwards, as she felt ostracized by the crew.

After the incident, Glaudini mentioned that Depp approached her with what she described as a ‘non-apology apology’, attributing his behavior to being in character and struggling with a Boston accent. She recalled feeling pressured to accept the apology and maintain a professional demeanor.

In response to Glaudini’s claims, a representative for Depp pointed out conflicting recollections from other set members at the time. Sam Sarkar, who worked on ‘Blow’ as a sound assistant, supported Depp’s account by stating he never heard any such altercation during filming.

The resurfacing of Glaudini’s allegations adds to the series of controversies surrounding high-profile figures in the entertainment industry in recent years. The incident draws attention to the challenges faced by actors on set and the importance of professionalism in collaborative work environments.

The allegations against Depp come in the wake of broader conversations about workplace conduct and treatment of colleagues within the film industry, shedding light on the complexities of on-set dynamics and power differentials among cast and crew.
