LOS ANGELES, CA — Adam David, a contestant on Season 27 of ‘The Voice,’ captured hearts with his soulful performances during the show’s finale on May 19 and 20. The Florida native, who has openly shared his journey through addiction and recovery, credits his family’s unwavering support as a key influence in his music career.

David, 30, grew up in South Florida, where he was immersed in various musical genres thanks to his family. He began playing guitar at the age of 8 and often participated in jam sessions with his uncles during family gatherings. ‘I always wanted to perform like they did,’ he said in an interview.

Throughout his journey, David has faced significant challenges, including struggles with addiction. ‘Cocaine was my drug of choice,’ he revealed. As he worked towards sobriety, he emphasized how music served as a source of healing. ‘Without my family’s support, I wouldn’t be where I am today,’ he expressed.

Advancing through the competition, David earned a spot in the Top 5 after securing the Instant Save during the Semi-Finals. His performances have continually highlighted the emotional depth he brings, often paying tribute to his family in his songs.

During his time on ‘The Voice,’ Adam released a single titled “Savior,” which he wrote while in rehab. He described completing the song on the last day of his treatment as ‘a gift for making it through the other side.’

‘The love from my family and fans drives me forward,’ David said during his finale performance of ‘You Are So Beautiful.’ He will continue to express his personal experiences through music as he aims to inspire others facing similar struggles.

Fans can watch Adam compete for the title on NBC with the season’s live finale airing this week.
