Afrobeat Star Kizz Daniel Celebrates 10th Year in Music with New Singles
Afrobeat musician Kizz Daniel has released two new singles, “Marhaba” and “We Must,” as part of his ongoing “Vado At 10” celebrations, marking a decade of success in the music industry. These tracks emphasize his enduring influence in the Afrobeat genre and his ability to connect with a global audience.
Originally, Kizz Daniel planned to collaborate with a prominent UK rapper to incorporate grime influences into “We Must,” but delay setbacks led him to proceed independently. He thus transformed the track into a solo endeavor, crediting it as “We Must – Kizz Daniel featuring Thyself.” Kizz Daniel explained that this decision highlights his versatility and readiness to explore new artistic directions.
The two releases underline Kizz Daniel’s commitment to innovation within Afrobeats while retaining his unique sound. According to Christian Agadibe, CEO of Artmatazz Media, Kizz Daniel’s resilience and consistency have continually set new standards in the genre, inspiring both contemporaries and aspiring musicians.
“Marhaba” is produced by Ramii and Suhel Nafar and integrates Afrobeat rhythms with traditional Northern African music. Its title, meaning “Welcome” or “Hello” in Arabic, signifies Kizz Daniel’s connection to Northern Africa and the Middle East, inspired by his experiences in the region.
Agadibe noted that Kizz Daniel’s ability to merge diverse cultural sounds into his music further elevates Afrobeats worldwide, uniting listeners through the universal language of music. “We Must,” produced by Ayzed, with whom he has frequently collaborated, serves as a testament to persistence and is predicted to become a popular anthem.
These new releases not only represent Kizz Daniel’s artistic evolution but also cement his standing in the international music scene. “Marhaba” and “We Must” add to his legacy, showcasing his talent in adapting and thriving over the past ten years.
