Aleister Black Wwe Smackdown

STAMFORD, Conn. — Aleister Black is adopting a patient mindset as he returns to WWE. The superstar made his comeback in April, but some fans are expressing disappointment over his current role on Friday Night SmackDown. Black, however, believes that hard work and perseverance will pay off in the long run.

“That’s the only way to do it,” Black said in a recent interview. “I obviously appreciate that fans want this process sped up. We live in a society where it’s instant gratification, and that leads to losing a lot. People don’t realize they often love the struggle.”

Black emphasized that connecting emotionally with fans during the journey is central to achieving success. The responsibility for elevating Black’s career lies with WWE Chief Content Officer Paul 'Triple H' Levesque, who has supported Black since their collaboration in NXT.

<p“Hunter and I have always had a good working relationship. NXT Aleister Black was a cooperation between him and me,” he said. “Right now, that is just happening on a grand scale, and it’s been very rewarding.”

While Levesque values Black’s ideas, he also maintains a strong vision and is unafraid to pass on suggestions. “Sometimes he’ll have something in his head, and you have to trust the process. Just because you’re not immediately at the end of the road doesn’t mean the road is wrong,” Black explained.

Black and his new partner Zelina Vega are in the initial stages of their on-screen collaboration. They hope this partnership will reach its full potential over the coming weeks, especially with WrestleMania 42 just around the corner.

“That’s the goal. I want to perform at every pay-per-view, and eventually chase championships,” he said. Black looks forward to stepping into the ring at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas this April for his first WrestleMania in front of a live audience since 2019.

“It makes you rethink everything you’re doing and every choice. I’m 40 years old and have re-signed when I was 39, but here I am in better shape, mindset, and attitude,” Black said reflecting on his journey. “It’s about doing bigger and better things than I ever have before.”

Don’t miss the next part of Aleister Black’s interview, which will be available on The Takedown next Friday.
