Las Vegas, Nevada — Alex Pereira, former UFC Light Heavyweight champion, is set to face Magomed Ankalaev in a rematch at UFC 320 on October 4, 2025. The bout takes place at T-Mobile Arena and is part of the UFC’s ongoing pay-per-view schedule.

Pereira, who gained fame for his knockout power and striking skills, headlined several major events in 2024, solidifying his reputation before losing his title. His popularity peaked when he scored a stunning knockout over Jamahal Hill and later defeated Jiri Prochazka in a one-sided rematch.

Despite his victories, Pereira’s recent performances have drawn criticism. In his last fight against Ankalaev, many fans felt Pereira underperformed, leading to dissatisfaction among fight enthusiasts and a noticeable shift in public perception.

When the two last fought, Pereira struggled to engage, causing frustration among viewers. Ankalaev, regarded as a deserving contender, now seeks to reclaim the title Pereira once held. Pereira’s lackluster performance in their first fight has been a topic of discussion as anticipation builds for their rematch.

The upcoming UFC 320 event will also feature a co-main event with Merab Dvalishvili defending his Bantamweight title against Cory Sandhagen. The night will host several other matchups, including fights featuring Josh Emmett, Youssef Zalal, and Abus Magomedov among others.

UFC 320’s preliminary card begins at 6 p.m. ET, followed by the main card at 10 p.m. ET. Fans can access live coverage of the entire event online.
