Alfonso Pérez Muñoz Análisis Clásico

MADRID, Spain — Alfonso Pérez Muñoz, former footballer and sports analyst, discussed the upcoming Clásico between Real Madrid and Barcelona scheduled for October 26, 2025. Pérez, who played for both clubs, assessed both teams’ current forms and key players.

Pérez expressed his hope for a Real Madrid victory. “I wish for Madrid to win,” he stated. However, he acknowledged that Barcelona has won the last four encounters, which could affect the players’ mentality. “I trust that it won’t influence their mindset,” he added.

Both teams have performed well recently, according to Pérez. “I believe both teams are doing fine, winning their matches in La Liga and Champions League,” he commented.

When asked about Xabi Alonso’s coaching style, Pérez noted the positive changes. “He’s instilling his ideas, and gradually we’re seeing results like long possessions and smooth ball movement,” he said.

Speaking on the up-and-coming talent, Pérez addressed the situation of young players like Mastantuono and Endrick. “Mastantuono is still young in his first season at Real Madrid. He needs time to adapt,” Pérez remarked. He pointed out that while Endrick was scouted at a young age, he may need to rethink his future if not utilized more frequently.

Pérez also reflected on the creative gaps in Madrid’s roster since the departures of Toni Kroos and Luka Modric. He supported the idea of signing a creative midfielder and mentioned the importance of securing a pure striker for the team.

As for Barcelona, Pérez praised the young talent, Lamine Yamal. He cautioned, however, that Yamal should maintain a humble approach despite his growing fame. “He must be well-advised to ensure he remains focused on his development,” he indicated.

Pérez concluded with a nod to the competitive nature of the Clásico. “The match could easily sway either way, and it remains a highly anticipated encounter,” he stated.
