Ali Wong Golden Globes 2025 Red Carpet

Actress and comedian Ali Wong turned heads at the 2025 Golden Globe Awards with her radiant complexion, courtesy of Tatcha skincare products and celebrity makeup artist Daniel Martin. Wong, nominated for Best Performance in Stand-Up Comedy or Television for her special “Ali Wong: Single Lady,” showcased a minimalist, glowing makeup look that highlighted her skin-first approach to glamour.

Martin, who has worked with numerous A-listers and will appear in Meghan Markle’s upcoming Netflix show “With Love, Meghan,” prepped Wong’s skin using six Tatcha products. The routine began with the Kissu Lip Mask to ensure smooth lipstick application, followed by the brand’s newest releases, which promote even skin tone, reduce puffiness, and boost hydration.

“I love utilizing the Tatcha skincare ritual because each product does exactly what I need it to do before makeup — balance and hydrate skin for a long night,” Martin told WWD. He emphasized the effectiveness of Tatcha’s Brightening Eye Cream, which contains bioferments and Japanese plum to brighten, lift, and firm the eye area.

To seal in the serums, Martin applied Tatcha’s bestselling moisturizer for normal to oily skin, followed by a weightless primer to extend the wear time of Wong’s makeup. The result was a flawless, glowing look that complemented her custom Balenciaga bustier dress and black boots.

Wong’s red carpet moment also included a creative styling detail: her team used a curling iron to shape the tulle tendrils of her dress, adding a unique touch to her ensemble. The actress went on to win the Golden Globe for Best Performance in Stand-Up Comedy or Television, marking her third win at the awards show.

In her acceptance speech, Wong thanked her hometown of San Francisco, where she began her stand-up career, and reflected on her journey as a working mother. She also acknowledged her ex-husband, Justin Hakuta, as her “best friend” and a key supporter in her life.

Wong’s Golden Globes look and win underscored her status as a trailblazer in comedy and a style icon on the red carpet. Her collaboration with Tatcha and Martin highlighted the importance of skincare in achieving a flawless, long-lasting makeup look for high-profile events.
