Alison Hammond Embraces Love with Younger Partner, David Putnam
Alison Hammond, known for her vivacious presence on “This Morning” and as a host on “The Great British Bake Off,” has opened up about her loving relationship with David Putnam, a model and masseur. Hammond, aged 49, revealed the depth of their connection and how Putnam, 27, “worships” her through daily gestures of affection.
Hammond first met Putnam when she booked a massage therapy session, but it was only in April that she took their romance public, having successfully kept it under wraps for a year and a half. Their relationship was inadvertently disclosed when Hammond’s “This Morning” co-host, Dermot O’Leary, mentioned on air that she was “no longer available,” surprising viewers and fans alike.
In an interview with The Sun, Hammond shared a touching ritual that Putnam performs to show his devotion. She stated, “A year and a half I’ve been with him, and no one knew! He loves me to bits. He absolutely worships me and massages my feet every single day. What more do you want?”
There has been speculation about a possible engagement after Hammond was seen wearing a ring on her ring finger. However, she was quick to clarify to MailOnline that while there is someone special in her life, she is not engaged yet. “There is someone special, and if he wants to pop the question, he can pop away,” she said playfully, keeping the future open-ended.
Hammond has also integrated Putnam into her family life. During an appearance on the “Parenting Hell” podcast, she mentioned that her son Aiden has met Putnam and approves of him, saying, “The person I am seeing at the moment, Aiden’s on his Instagram and he’s like, ‘Yeah, I like him. He’s not too in your face.'” Hammond expressed her relief that Aiden took a liking to him, noting, “Normally, Aiden hates anyone I date.”
In discussions about her personal life, Hammond has previously admitted to hesitations about marriage. In a conversation with Gyles Brandreth on the “Rosebud” podcast, she confessed, “I think as soon as I hear the word marriage I get cold feet. I think I’m just one of those people.” However, she acknowledged her growing openness to the idea of settling down, stating, “I’m getting to that age now where I think ‘Alison, let go – it’s OK to settle down.'”
