Alix Earle’s Podcast Dropped Amid Rumors of Feud with Alex Cooper

LOS ANGELES, CA — The ‘Hot Mess’ podcast hosted by Alix Earle has been dropped by the Unwell Network, founded by podcaster Alex Cooper. The announcement comes on February 25, 2025, amidst speculation of a rift between the two influencers, who were previously seen as rising stars in the podcasting world.
Sources confirm that SiriusXM will no longer sell advertisements for Earle’s podcast, allowing her the opportunity to pursue new endeavors without the constraints of her current contract. The Unwell Network has officially renounced all rights to ‘Hot Mess,’ which had captivated listeners with candid discussions about relationships and life experiences.
Concerns about the relationship between Earle, 24, and Cooper, 30, have been mounting on social media, particularly after Earle opted out of attending a Super Bowl party hosted by Cooper in New Orleans earlier this month, despite being in town. This absence fueled rumors of tension, particularly as both women are prominent figures in Gen Z culture.
Cooper initially signed Earle onto the Unwell Network in August 2023, aiming to create a brand that resonated with young audiences by addressing social challenges and personal insecurities. In addition to Earle, the network had included influencers like Madeline Argy and plans for various multimedia projects were set in motion.
In comments following the launch of the Unwell Network, Cooper described Earle and Argy as individuals with unique perspectives that would engage audiences, saying, ‘We live in a world where we are inundated with content, but The Unwell Network will be the source everyone can go to for unique perspectives exploring what’s top-of-mind today for this generation.’
Despite Earle’s past success, evidence of a disagreement surfaced in December 2024, when her father indicated there may have been issues with a business partner regarding Earle’s career trajectory. ‘I had to have some hard conversations with people who don’t see Alix’s potential,’ he said.
Although neither Earle nor Cooper has commented directly on the alleged feud, the uncertainty leaves fans speculating about Earle’s future direction. With more than seven million followers on TikTok, Earle is known for her engaging lifestyle content, including ‘get ready with me’ videos. With the dissolution of her podcast contract, followers believe she may opt for a more independent path.
The Unwell Network—owned by Cooper and her fiancé, Matt Kaplan—kicks off the year with an ambitious schedule, featuring other successful podcasts like ‘Boyfriend Material’ and ‘DisGRACEful.’ Meanwhile, Cooper’s own podcast, ‘Call Her Daddy,’ continues to gain traction and guest stars, including prominent political figures like Kamala Harris.
As fans eagerly await comments from both women, the future of ‘Hot Mess’ remains uncertain. Earle’s exit demonstrates the complexities of navigating personal relationships and business decisions within the entertainment industry.
