Amanda Owen and Clive Owen, known for their starring roles in the hit reality series “Our Yorkshire Farm,” are collaborating once again for a new television project. This marks their first joint venture since ending their 22-year marriage. Despite their personal separation, the Owens are coming together to renovate a derelict farmhouse, a project located near their home at Ravenseat Farm in Yorkshire Dales.

The duo, who share nine children together, seem committed to creating something special for their family. “I am proud of where we have got to,” Amanda Owen remarked about her continued camaraderie with Clive. “Life throws you some funny curveballs, but it’s how you overcome them and move forward. It’s about building the blocks again,” she added.

Despite their shared dedication, Amanda light-heartedly admitted that there are moments of disagreement between the two. She detailed the challenges of working in a remote location, without connectivity that forces them to make on-the-spot decisions. “You have to walk to get to it because the track up to it is so bad,” she noted about the property known as Anty John’s, which she purchased at the onset of lockdown in March 2020.

The farmhouse is a 19th-century structure that the Owens are rehabilitating with the hopes of passing it down to their children. Amanda recognized the opportunity to acquire the property as a rare blessing, emphasizing its ample acreage and common grazing rights. However, the renovation has been far from simple, starting with overcoming outdated planning permission issues.

Amanda described the overwhelming task of turning the property’s ruins into a family home. “Things have gone a lot slower and we’ve really been battling the elements to do the work,” she said, admitting that they are only just now installing a roof and considering windows next.

The Owens’ children, Raven, Reuben, Myles, Edith, Violet, Sidney, Annas, Clementine, and Nancy, all contribute to the family’s efforts, learning valuable lessons along the way. “I want them to be involved because this is for them,” Amanda explained.

Even as she juggles various responsibilities, including managing the farm, parenting, and now, this renovation project, Amanda Owen remains humble. “Life isn’t about perfection,” she insisted, dismissing any notion of being a role model and underscoring the importance of overcoming life’s challenges.

The couple garnered fame in 2011 with their appearance on an ITV travel series and later became household names through Channel 5’s “Our Yorkshire Farm,” which aired until 2022. Despite the end of their marriage, Amanda revealed that the Owens will return to television with a new series showcasing their renovation journey.

“I do enjoy doing the TV,” Amanda enthused, promising viewers a comprehensive look at the renovation process, interwoven with the life of their animals and family dynamics.
