Amber Alert Issued for Missing Toddler in Port Orchard

PORT ORCHARD, Wash. — An Amber Alert has been issued for a 17-month-old boy, Ryderie Gilbertson, who was reported missing after being allegedly abducted by 32-year-old Andrew Gilbertson from his mother on Sunday night.

According to the Washington State Patrol (WSP), the abduction occurred around 11:31 p.m. in the vicinity of Overaa Road. Authorities are actively searching for both the suspect and the child.

Ryderie Gilbertson is described as 3 feet tall, weighing 25 pounds, with brown hair and green eyes. He was last seen wearing a yellow onesie. His mother was reportedly confronted by Andrew Gilbertson during the incident.

Andrew Gilbertson is approximately 6 feet tall, weighing 160 pounds, with brown hair and green eyes. He was last seen wearing an Army green sweatshirt with white lettering. His relationship to the child remains unclear.

The suspect is believed to be traveling in a 2008 white Ford F-150 pickup truck, which bears Washington license plate number C83831N. Officials are urging anyone who sees Gilbertson, Ryderie, or the vehicle to call 911 immediately.

As of now, WSP has not confirmed where they believe Gilbertson may be headed.

“The safety of Ryderie is our utmost priority,” said a WSP spokesperson. “We are urging the public to help us locate him.”

This Amber Alert has been activated on behalf of the Kitsap County Sheriff’s Office as law enforcement seeks to ensure the child’s safe return. Updates on the situation will be provided as more information becomes available.
