The five-bedroom residence is conveniently located just a short drive from downtown Madrid and had recently undergone renovations before being acquired by Heard. Her decision to settle in Spain is part of her effort to move away from the chaos surrounding her past.

Heard’s relocation to Europe came after her defeat in a $50 million defamation lawsuit against Depp, which drew extensive media coverage and public attention in 2022. That case was described as one of the most publicized celebrity trials in recent history. Heard and Depp were married in 2015 but divorced in 2017, a turbulent relationship that was highlighted by allegations of abuse on both sides.

Notably, after the lawsuit verdict, wherein Depp was awarded $10.35 million in compensatory damages, Heard sought a new beginning. She previously lived temporarily in Mallorca before establishing her residence in Madrid. Reports from El Diario de Mallorca revealed that she adopted the alias ‘Martha Jane Cannary‘ during her stay in Mallorca, a nod to Calamity Jane, a legendary Wild West woman.

Heard’s family life has also undergone changes since moving to Spain. She is raising her three-year-old daughter, born via surrogacy, and recently announced she is expecting her second child in 2025.

Living among various celebrities and high-profile individuals in Chamartín, Heard seems to have found a sense of peace in her new surroundings. A neighbor shared with MailOnline, “She lives here and I often see her walking her daughter to school in the mornings. She wears a cap and sunglasses and keeps a low profile.”

This neighbor added that despite being in a prominent area frequented by famous people, the residents maintain a respectful distance from each other, contributing to a serene environment for Heard. “She has completely integrated into the community,” the neighbor noted.

Though she hasn’t acted since her court case, Heard has been seen speaking fluent Spanish on social media videos, further demonstrating her commitment to blending into her new life in Spain. This endeavor seems to underscore her desire for privacy and normalcy after years of public turmoil.
