American Dad! Returns to TBS with Star-Studded Fall Season

Fans of the animated series “American Dad!” can gear up for a thrilling new season as the show makes its return to TBS on Monday, October 28 at 10 PM ET/PT. The announcement was accompanied by a fresh teaser, exciting fans with glimpses of forthcoming episodes that promise both humor and adventure.

During the San Diego Comic-Con 2024, a panel composed of voice actors Wendy Schaal, Scott Grimes, Rachael MacFarlane, Dee Bradley Baker, and Jeff Fischer, alongside executive producers Matt Weitzman, Kara Vallow, and Nic Wegener, provided insights into the new season. Notably absent from the panel was series co-creator Seth MacFarlane, who was reportedly occupied with other commitments.

This season, viewers can expect the Smith family to face an array of bizarre situations as they navigate life in Langley Falls. Highlights include the much-anticipated reopening of the Langley Falls boardwalk, transforming what was meant to be a dream vacation into a series of escalated mishaps. Further complications arise with Roger battling a mysterious illness and Klaus dealing with an imposter challenge.

The upcoming episodes will feature a host of guest stars, including renowned personalities such as Kevin Bacon, Charles Barkley, Bret "The Hitman" Hart, Gabriel “Fluffy” Iglesias, Michael Imperioli, Leslie Jones, Joel McHale, Neal McDonough, and Kyra Sedgwick. These guest appearances are expected to add an exciting dynamic to the show’s unique brand of humor.

Further adding to the excitement, Hollywood Records is slated to release the “American Dad!: Greatest Hits” soundtrack on October 25. The album is set to capture some of the series’ most iconic musical moments, many of which have contributed to the enduring popularity of the show’s quirky undertones.

The series, stemming from 20th Television Animation, was initially created by Seth MacFarlane, Mike Barker, and Matt Weitzman. It continues to be executive produced by co-showrunner Brian Boyle, alongside MacFarlane and Weitzman. “American Dad!” centers on the life of CIA agent Stan Smith, voiced by MacFarlane, and his eccentric family, embracing both their comedic and endearing attributes while they tackle everyday and extraordinary challenges alike.
