Broadway Musical & Juliet Talkback Event

NEW YORK, NY — The acclaimed jukebox musical & Juliet will host a post-show talkback on February 18, following the 7 PM performance at the Stephen Sondheim Theatre. The event, presented in partnership with COLLECTIVE by 92NY, promises an engaging discussion centered on storytelling through dance.

Choreographer Jennifer Weber will be joined by Broadway cast members Maya Boyd, Charli D’Amelio, Romy Vuksan, and others for the talkback, moderated by People Senior Editor Dave Quinn. The discussion will explore how the musical merges contemporary pop tunes with the timeless themes of Shakespeare‘s works, particularly its Tony-nominated choreography.

& Juliet has garnered significant acclaim, receiving nine Tony Award nominations, including Best Musical. The production reimagines the fate of one of literature’s most iconic characters, proposing an alternate narrative in which Juliet chooses life and love after her tragic story. The score boasts an array of popular hits, including “Since U Been Gone,” “Roar,” and “I Want It That Way.”

Tickets for the talkback event are currently available for purchase. The production’s ensemble features Maya Boyd as Juliet, with D’Amelio making her Broadway debut, and includes actors portraying other key roles such as Anne and Shakespeare.

The ongoing success of & Juliet has solidified its position as a must-see show since its opening on November 17, 2022. It became the first new musical of the 2022–2023 Broadway season to achieve financial recoupment.
