Amy Jackson Makes a Stellar Comeback with ‘Mission Chapter 1’ Streaming on OTT
Amy Jackson, the Bollywood starlet, returned to the silver screen with a powerful portrayal in ‘Mission Chapter 1.’ After a hiatus of several years, Amy Jackson, alongside Arun Vijay, starred in this action-packed film which hit theaters during the recent holidays. However, due to a routine storyline, the movie failed to captivate the audience as expected, prompting a swift move to OTT platforms just two months after its theatrical release.
‘Mission Chapter 1’ began streaming on Amazon Prime, excluding India, from Friday onwards. With intricate family ties and thrilling action sequences intertwined, the film directed by Arun Vijay has impressed the critics. Despite a delayed Telugu version release, the movie garnered significant acclaim at the box office, making a mark with audiences who appreciate action-packed cinema.
The film, starring Nivetha Sajayan alongside Arun Vijay, Bharath Bhoopan, and Abi Hassan in leading roles, was produced by Lycamobile Productions banner. G.V. Prakash Kumar provided the soulful musical score for this 100th Tamil cinema feature. The cinematography by Sandeep K. Vijay and Anthony’s editing handled the sentimental sequences and action segments of ‘Mission Chapter 1’ convincingly, appealing to action enthusiasts.
However, following the festive season rush at cinemas, the Telugu version’s release was postponed. The narrative of a father’s struggle to save his daughter amidst life-threatening situations has left fans eagerly awaiting the Telugu premiere. Even the Telugu release on digital platforms faced clarity issues, and the makers envisioned a theatrical release. The delayed premiere owing to a disaster in Tamil couldn’t stimulate the expectations for the Telugu version. As a result, the movie remains postponed post-Sankranti, awaiting a theatrical release.
A spectacular film carved out by director Arun Vijay, ‘Mission Chapter 1’ brought back Amy Jackson in the role of a police officer. Nivetha Sajayan graced the silver screen as another female lead in this high-energy narrative. Amy Jackson decided to re-enter Bollywood post playing a mother role in ‘Madrasapattinam,’ showcasing her acting prowess in the Tamil industry.
