MADRID, Spain – The Teatro Real hosted the premiere of Giuseppe Verdi’s opera ‘Attila’ on May 14, 2025, attracting various guests, including Ana Botella, former mayor of Madrid. She proudly attended the event alongside her eldest grandson, Alejandro Agag Aznar.

Alejandro, who is nearly 21, has maintained a low public profile, often avoiding media attention despite his family’s notable prominence. His grandmother, who has seven grandchildren in total, expressed her joy at spending time with him during this cultural evening.

In 2011, Ana’s daughter, Ana Aznar, married Alejandro Agag, and the couple has four children. The family’s living arrangements, with some members residing abroad, have limited their public appearances. Nonetheless, Ana Botella takes every opportunity to connect with her grandchildren, making evenings like this particularly special.

As they entered the theater, both Botella and Agag Aznar were dressed in stylish white outfits that complemented each other. Ana’s ensemble included a white blazer and flower-patterned blouse, while Alejandro opted for a coordinated look, despite being less accustomed to the spotlight.

The evening was filled with classic opera, directed by Nicola Luisotti, showcasing a narrative of power struggles and ambition. Notable performers included Sondra Radvanovsky and Michael Fabiano, who captivated the audience.

This appearance marks a rare moment for Alejandro, who stays out of the public eye. His grandmother’s influential past as mayor of Madrid adds to the significance of their appearance together, attracting photographers despite his attempts to remain private.

As the audience settled in, the focus was not just on the performance but also on the notable figures present, emphasizing the continued relevance of the Botella family in Madrid’s social scene.
