Andrew Tate’s Properties Searched Amid New Allegations of Trafficking and Underage Sex
Romanian authorities have conducted searches at the residences of controversial influencer Andrew Tate as part of a new investigation into allegations against him.
Currently awaiting trial for charges of rape and human trafficking, Tate could potentially face additional charges related to sex with minors, trafficking in underage persons, money laundering, and witness tampering, according to prosecutors.
The searches were carried out by DIICOT, the special prosecution service of the Romanian Organised Crime Directorate, at four locations, including properties in Bucharest and Ilfov county.
The investigation is reportedly connected to Andrew Tate and has been ongoing for an extended period. In a response to the police activities, Tate expressed his views on social media, stating, “The Matrix is real. And they have a tried and true playbook.” He continued to assert that slander is a tactic used against him and maintained that he is innocent of all charges.
Tate, who identifies himself as a misogynist, has a significant following on social media, especially among young men, for promoting a hyper-masculine image often critical of women. He and his brother, Tristan, along with two Romanian associates, are currently awaiting trial on charges related to the formation of a criminal gang that allegedly exploits women.
In recent months, a Romanian court overruled a previous decision that had allowed Tate to move freely across the European Union while he awaits trial. Tate has consistently denied the initial charges against him, claiming that there is no evidence and that a conspiracy exists to silence him.
Furthermore, Tate is sought in the UK regarding separate sexual offense allegations unrelated to the ongoing Romanian investigation.
