Andy Murray and Wife Kim Scoop Hospitality Awards at the Scottish Excellence Awards
Scottish sports icon Andy Murray and his spouse Kim were honored at the Scottish Excellence Awards for their luxurious hotel, The Cromlix, near Dunblane.
The Cromlix Hotel, owned by the Murrays since 2013, clinched the esteemed award for Independent Hotel of the Year, outshining Killiecrankie House in Perthshire, at the Scottish Excellence Awards.
Distributed at the Sheraton Grand Hotel and Spa in Edinburgh, the awards signify the highest recognition for businesses and individuals in Scottish hospitality, food service, and tourism.
Murray and Kim Murray rejoiced in the accolade, with Kim expressing how proud she was of the Cromlix team’s relentless dedication in providing an exceptional experience for guests.
The Cromlix, which scooped another award as the venue’s executive head chef Darin Campbell secured the title of Chef of the Year, has witnessed a standout year with continued excellence for guests.
The evening saw Killiecrankie House walking away with the prestigious Restaurant of the Year award, adding to their accolades and the transformation the establishment has undergone since being taken over by Tom Tsappis and Matilda Ruffle in 2022.
Finalists in the Chef of the Year category included chefs from renowned eateries like Amuse Restaurant, Cail Bruich, Edinbane Lodge, and Celentano’s, among others.
