Anita Rani, the popular television presenter and author, made a striking fashion statement at the BAFTA TV Awards ceremony over the weekend, donning a daring, pearl encrusted, sheer dress that turned heads on the red carpet.

Rani, known for her appearances on ITV shows and her role on Good Morning Britain, stunned in a floor-length gown designed by Australian fashion designer Rebecca Valance. Completing her bold look with platform heels and asymmetrical earrings, Rani exuded confidence on the prestigious red carpet.

In a recent interview on Good Morning Britain, Rani explained that her decision to wear the revealing dress stemmed from a newfound sense of self-assurance and empowerment.

Reflecting on her personal growth, Rani shared, “I would not have worn that dress 10 years ago. I probably would have worried about my arms and my thighs or all that nonsense. But for some reason I am wearing that dress, it’s not wearing me. I just think there is something about a woman, a transformation, where you just embody a bit more confidence.”

When asked if her fashion choice was a response to her separation from her husband in September last year, Rani clarified, “It’s not a revenge dress. It’s a woman owning who she is dress.”

Rani further disclosed, “Lots has happened to me in the last few years and my life has changed. I lost an auntie during lockdown… I think we can all make time for ourselves a little bit and try to heal whatever’s going on within ourselves. So that’s where I’m at in my life.”

The accomplished presenter, who recently shared her story with Good Housekeeping, emphasized the importance of self-care and personal growth, noting that she is embracing a new chapter in her life as a single woman with no children.

As Rani navigates this exciting phase, she has transformed her apartment into a Parisienne dream house, reflecting her newfound sense of independence and freedom.
