Academy Award-winning actress Anna Paquin, alongside her husband and fellow actor Stephen Moyer, made a stunning red-carpet appearance despite her ongoing health struggles during the premiere of their latest film ‘A Bit of Light.’

The event, held at the Crosby Street Hotel in New York City, marked a romantic evening out for the couple, who first met on the set of the hit HBO series ‘True Blood‘ over a decade ago.

Paquin, who walked with the support of a cane at the premiere, openly discussed the challenges she has faced in the past two years due to an undisclosed medical condition, which has impacted her mobility and speech.

A source close to the actress revealed to People magazine that there is hope for a full recovery from the health battle she’s been fighting.

Despite these obstacles, Paquin displayed resilience and enthusiasm for her role in ‘A Bit of Light,’ where she portrays an alcoholic mother fighting for custody of her children amidst her journey to recovery.

Reflecting on her early career and love for independent filmmaking, Paquin reminisced about her Oscar win at the young age of 11 for her performance in ‘The Piano,’ directed by Jane Campion and starring alongside Holly Hunter.

The actress, who currently resides in Brooklyn, emphasized the importance of storytelling with integrity and truth, a value she holds dear since her beginnings in the film industry.

Paquin and Moyer’s relationship, both on and off-screen, blossomed from their roles as Sookie Stackhouse and Bill Compton in ‘True Blood,’ leading to a deep bond that extends to their creative collaborations.

Moyer, who also directed ‘A Bit of Light,’ described Paquin as his favorite person to work with, highlighting their seamless dynamic as a couple and professional partners.

The couple share a blended family, including Moyer’s children from a previous relationship and their fraternal twins, Charlie and Poppy, who are now 11 years old.
