ARC Raiders May Release on June 6, Players Anticipate

LOS ANGELES, CA – Players of ARC Raiders recently completed the game’s Closed Alpha and many believe it is ready for release. Despite some balance issues, the game appeared complete, lacking only a few elements typically held back during testing.
Speculation about an imminent release intensified after a post-Alpha update featured a “tick counter” link ending on June 6. This date coincides with the start of Geoff Keighley’s Summer Game Fest, leading many to wonder if the announcement is deliberate.
ARC Raiders, developed by Embark, follows the studio’s previous release, The Finals, which debuted in a similar manner at The Game Awards 2023. Players recall that game was instantly playable, referred to as a “shadow drop.” Unlike The Finals, ARC Raiders has yet to hold an open beta, but the excitement around its readiness for release is palpable.
During the Closed Alpha, ARC Raiders was well-received within the extraction shooter genre, drawing an increasing player count daily. Many players noted positive comparisons to competitor Marathon, an upcoming title from Bungie, which faced criticism over unfinished elements and controversial use of art assets.
The potential shadow drop of ARC Raiders at Summer Game Fest excites players, although the experience was marred for some during The Finals due to server rushes. Developers are expected to prepare in advance to mitigate similar issues.
As June 6 approaches, the gaming community eagerly awaits confirmation from Embark about ARC Raiders’ release.
