Archer Aviation Earnings Call May 2025

NEW YORK, NY — Archer Aviation Inc. reported its Q1 2025 earnings on May 12, revealing a narrower net loss of $93.4 million, or $-0.17 per share, surpassing analyst expectations of $-0.21 per share. CEO Adam Goldstein highlighted the company’s strong cash position, ending the quarter with $1.03 billion in cash and cash equivalents.

During the earnings call, Goldstein emphasized that 2025 is a pivotal year for Archer as it transitions to commercial operations. Archer plans to launch its Midnight electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft in Abu Dhabi later this year. “The UAE market is a chance for the world to see how these aircraft will handle in different conditions,” he stated.

Archer’s strategy includes partnerships with firms like Anduril and Palantir to enhance its technological capabilities. Goldstein mentioned a recent partnership with Anduril for next-generation hybrid electric VTOL designs to support defense operations, while Palantir aids in developing AI-driven aviation software.

Additionally, Archer has secured its first Launch Edition customer, Abu Dhabi Aviation, with plans to connect major urban centers through air taxi services. This initiative aims to capitalize on the growing demand for urban air mobility globally.

According to Goldstein, the company’s manufacturing facilities in California and Georgia are becoming fully operational. The ramp-up in production is crucial for meeting the growing demand for eVTOL services and is supported by strong investor confidence.

Looking ahead, Archer’s commercial roadmap includes a significant order of $1.5 billion from United Airlines, which involves plans for air taxi services between Manhattan and Newark Airport. This ambitious project is seen as critical for establishing a foothold in the U.S. market.

Goldstein concluded by stating, “We maintain focus on advancing Midnight aircraft certification and testing, positioning us as a key player in the eVTOL and urban air mobility sectors as we approach 2025 milestones.” The company is set to deliver its first piloted aircraft to Abu Dhabi Aviation later this summer.
